What is UDYAM / MSME ?

MSME/Udyam certification is a system for enrolling Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), introduced by the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises on 1st of July 2020. Further, the Ministry revises the MSME classification criteria from time to time. Under this system, After successful registration and generation of certificate every Enterprise is allotted with a 16 digit alphanumeric Number (UDYAM-XX-00-0000000).

MSME definition

The definition of MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) has undergone significant changes with the introduction of the Atmanirbhar Bharat package.

 

These revisions now consider a composite set of criteria, namely investment and turnover, with increased thresholds. Additionally, the previous distinction that separated the service and manufacturing sectors under MSME classification has been removed.

When to Consider Udyam Registration?

Applying for MSME Udyam Registration is not obligatory and is entirely optional and free of Cost for entrepreneurs. However, most businesses should pursue MSME registration soon after establishment to avail themselves of the various government benefits

When it comes to the documents required for the Online MSME / Udyam Registration process, it is worth noting that the application is primarily based on self-declaration. As such, uploading any additional documents during the registration procedure is unnecessary.

 Applicants must only provide their : –

  • 12-digit Aadhaar Number.
  • PAN (Permanent Account Number).
  • Bank Account details of the business.
  • Unit Address.
  • Details of Investment Made.
  • Last Year Turnover.
  • Number of Employees.

What is Udyam Certifcate?

Udyam Registration certificate, is the reshaped process of MSME/UDYOG AADHAAR scheme launched with more new benefits and features, by the the Ministry of MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) on 1st of July 2020.

There is No Govt Fee for Udyam Registration, however we charge our professional fee for the Consultancy and Expertise filling.

There is no specified expiry of Udyam Registration certificate, however to continue the benefits of Udyam , the entity must comply with the Act and guidelines of MSME and should update GSTIN, Turnover details in it.

As of now Application for Udyam registration can only be made through Aadhaar OTP Verification.

As of Now only the Pan and Aadhaar details are compulsory for the Udyam Registration However the entity should update it’s ITR and GSTIN Details on portal before completion of a specified period as notified.
